Day 1: Programme Contents
Scientific Foundations & Understanding Neurodiversity
Day 1 establishes a strong scientific, conceptual foundation for understanding neurodiversity as natural human variation.
Among the many topics participants will explore are:
Individuality, neurotypes, and biological diversity
Genetics, epigenetics, pre- & postnatal environments, and early attachment in brain development
Medical and social models of disability and the social construction of difference
The history and purpose of the DSM, including diagnostic change and its implications for neurodivergent people
Neurodiversity as natural variation
Executive function and an overview of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and related neurotypes


Day 2: Programme Contents
Advanced Neurocognition & Practical Application
Day 2 helps deepen understanding, focussing on application across the lifespan and professional systems.
Among the many topics participants will explore are:
Self-reflection, neuromapping, and environmental fit
Executive function in depth, including prefrontal cortex development and brain maturation
The lifespan of neurodiversity, including late diagnosis
The impact of environmental and social intensifiers
Hormones, gender, and experiences of neurodiversity
Culture, dopamine, motivation, and behaviour, including healthy vs unhealthy dopamine pathways
Identity integration, reflective writing, and applied professional insight
