ND Explored – Episode 06: ND & Addictive Behaviour Patterns
Episode 06 of ND Explored discusses the healthy and unhealthy ways those with ADHD seek dopamine, and how one can practice better self-regulation.
This session provides a non-judgemental, science-led exploration of why individuals with ADHD are more prone to dopamine-seeking behaviours and self-medication. We move beyond stigma, focusing instead on the underlying neurobiology that drives these patterns.
You’ll learn how to identify the difference between adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies, and how to shift towards more sustainable, regulated behaviours. The emphasis is on understanding your brain, reducing shame, and building practical tools for long-term change.
